Hafa Adai and Welcome from the CEO!

Welcome to the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation’s website, built to give better access to and knowledge about the many services and programs that CHCC offers to the people of the Commonwealth. As you look through this website, please give us suggestions as to what we might do better, what other information you need, and how we can improve your experience at our hospital and our clinics.  Please remember that though we face many challenges, we at CHCC gladly embrace our mission to improve the health of the people of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands by providing quality health care and preventing disease and promoting health through public health efforts.  We hope we do this with grace, compassion, and excellence in partnership with you, our patients and the community.

As the Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation, it is my greatest hope that the Commonwealth Health Center will come to be viewed as a center of excellence and a hospital where you would entrust the care of your loved ones.  Our admirable staff is working diligently to meet the Conditions of Participation to maintain certification with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and we are making good progress.  We know that, given history, our course is difficult, but we are determined to succeed at this hospital.  Please join us and help in any way that you can—be healthy yourselves!  Stay active, eat well, get your shots, and make sure your children are vaccinated.

I sincerely hope you never have to use this hospital and health centers in your lifetime except for normal life events such as births.  But if circumstances arise that require medical care in Rota, Saipan, or Tinian, remember this is your hospital and health center and we stand ready to provide you with excellent care.

Si Yu’us Ma’ase, Ghilisow, & Thank you

Esther L. Muña, MHA, CPC
