Early Detection & Intervention

Early detection for the Non Communicable Disease Bureau’s goal is to assist low income or underinsured clients to get tested or screened for cancer, diabetes, obesity and hypertension. No cost services for pap smears, mammograms and other testing is offered for those that are eligible.  Intervention services are offered for prevention and control. Patient navigation is in its early stage of development to assist and expedite our NCD clients in both diagnosis and treatment services offered in the health care system. Counseling, assessments and referrals are made when indicated.
